It looks like a red card!!
It looks like a red card!! Originally uploaded by Pamela PC. Haven’t blogged here in many days so we must give you a Callum update. Here’s the scoop.* Callum has become quite the bookworm, much to the joy of his mother. He grabs books, walks over to the closest parent, holds up the book, and grunts. “Read this to me,” he says in prehistoric language. Honestly, we think this is the start of spoken … [Read more...] about It looks like a red card!!

Milk
Since Callum was about 7 or 8 months old, we’ve been showing him this baby sign language DVD, which he really loves. The idea is that babies are physically able to make signs with their hands much earlier than they’re able to say words with their mouths. But we haven’t been pushing it. So, on impulse, I grabbed a pair of scissors this evening and made two main cuts, one on each side of his head. The left side (my left) turned out OK, if I say so myself, but the right… well, … [Read more...] about Mommy Cuts Callum’s Hair

On Our Street
The San Francisco Chronicle published a great profile of a neighborhood restaurant that’s right down the street from our house.from the piece: The clientele at Jodie’s is mostly older men and locals who’ve been coming for years, and most of the talk is not the highbrow discussion about the failures of our nation’s leaders or the importance of diversity in American culture. It’s about more … [Read more...] about On Our Street
