On the way home today, we stopped at Elephant Pharmacy to get some gDiapers for Callum (a subject for another blog post). While hanging out in the baby aisle, I spotted some healthy-looking kid-sized snack bars that I thought could come in handy, so I threw them in the shopping cart. Callum had been showing signs of being hungry (putting things in his mouth), so, after I strapped him back into his car seat, I opened up one of the newly-purchased bars and handed it to him. Then I set down the shopping bag next to him and hopped into the driver’s seat.
Later on, as we approached our street, I heard this funny rustling noise in the back. I’d only given Callum the snack bar, not the wrapper, so I was puzzled. Then I peeked into the back seat only to find the whole box of snack bars in Callum’s hands. He had his mitts deep in the box, trying desperately to open up another one. Never call our little one un-resourceful or dependant. He now knows how to take matters into his own hands… literally.
